How we handle your information

About this site
This site is operated by the campaign to elect William Moore to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, Sully District. Its purpose is to explain who the candidate is, what he intends to do in office, and how residents can reach him. We collect as little information as possible to do that.
Information you send us
If you email the campaign, we receive whatever you choose to put in that message, including your email address. We use it to read and reply to you. We do not sell it, rent it, or trade it.
Analytics
We use a privacy-focused analytics service to count visits and see which pages people read. It does not use cookies, does not follow you across other websites, and does not build a profile of you. We see totals and trends, not individuals.
Cookies
This site does not set cookies of its own and does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Donations
Contributions are processed by ActBlue on its own platform. When you follow a donate link you leave this site, and ActBlue's privacy policy and terms govern what happens there. Virginia campaign finance law requires the campaign to report certain contributor information to the Virginia Department of Elections, and those reports are public records.
Links to other websites
We sometimes link to news coverage, county records, and other outside sources. Those links are provided for information and convenience. They are not endorsements of everything on the destination site, and we are not responsible for its content, accuracy, or privacy practices.
Who we share information with
Nobody, apart from the service providers who host this site, deliver our email, and process donations, and only to the extent they need it to do that work. We also share information when the law requires it, including the campaign finance reporting described above.
How long we keep it
We keep correspondence for as long as it is useful to the campaign, and records we are legally obliged to retain for as long as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you and ask us to delete it. Email web@mooreforsully.org and we will respond. We cannot delete records we are required by law to keep, such as filed campaign finance reports.
Accessibility
This site is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. If you hit something that does not work for you, please tell us at web@mooreforsully.org and we will fix it.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and change the date at the top.
